Born in the South, with fashion in her blood, Shaina became a swimwear and lingerie model and worked in the retail world to satisfy her fashion bug. Once it was time for college Shaina enrolled at the American College in Atlanta to earn her degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising.
She headed to LA once she graduated to start her career as a wardrobe stylist. After 2 years of the up and down rigorous stylist schedule Shaina was hired on as an assistant buyer at Koral Industries. With her quick acceleration at Koral Industries and love for branded goods she was sought out by Gabriel Bros. Department Store to become head Jr. Buyer.
In 2001 Bisou Biosu recruited her to be head of Off Price Sales for the West Coast division. After 2 years of moving millions of units for the brand to help make the JCPenney/ Bisou Bisou partnership transition more smoothly Hale Bob was brought to the US to launch.
In 2002 Shaina successful became the Director of SMU Sales and catapulted Hale Bob in the US to $5 million in sales the first year. She then spent the next 6 years making Hale Bob one of the top national contemporary brands in the apparel and accessories world.
Wanting to start a family Shaina decided to become independent of the corporate world and work as freelance sales. This didn’t last very long as her relationships and strengths in the fashion market made her very desirable to the fashion world. She was sought out by the Ed Hardy/Christian Audigier hand bag division as Sales Manager of the West Coast sales team and all national showrooms. She quickly excelled and ended up handling 7 divisions of the brands sales over a 4 year period.
Seeking a more stable atmosphere from the brand Shaina decided to open her own showroom, It Matters Studio, representing accessories and apparel.
She is dynamic, innovative, and a driven fashion sales professional with extensive experience and solid qualifications to support a broad range of functions including merchandising, wholesale management, communications, and client relations. Shaina is an expert in winning and retaining customers as well as building and energizing company organizational infrastructure, products and services, and sales and marketing strategies to achieve optimal results. Shaina has a solid track record of success in launching brands in the US, sales planning, generating new business, and securing customer loyalty.
Shaina currently successfully has her own brand of accessories named Bretboho. Shaina also represents several amazing fashion accessories and apparel brands with the major department store chains, 2nd tier chains, big box stores, ecommerce and fashion sites. She is enjoying working with other strong women in her industry to grow fabulous brands to share with the women of the world.
